Autumn Lake

This is a picture of an autumn lake I created in the automn of 2020. It's an old painting, and I can't say that I'm happy with it. I was not as skilled at that age.Tips: Start with the sky, then with the grass. Do the left part of the trees without mixing the colors OR cleaning the brush, with circular texture. The same with the other trees. Then paint the hedges of flowers with an reflection of smaller contrast underneeth.

Now don't you think that I am still on the level of this perticular painting, I have progressed a lot since then.

Mountain and River landscape

This is a painting that I did in March 2021. Tips: Start with the sky. Do not mind if it isn't a smooth texture, because bumpy texture is like clouds. When you are doing the mountains, put more white on top and ad blue as you pregress to the bottom. Make the grass texture as lumpy as possible and then with an old, hardend brush add yellow tints. For the tree also use the old brush. For the line on the horizon, use dark color and make the line as strait as possible (I didn't do it very strait, you can see that)

This painting that came completly out of my own inspiration. It is a good painting, and I personaly add it in the list of "My best paintings".

Sketch the outline
Let's start with the outline. You can copy my paintig, but you can do your own, and add your own touch a little bit. If you want to do that, then here's some ideas: Draw swans in the river, draw a pine instaid of an oac tree, draw too trees, draw some birds in the sky, draw a rainbow.

Paint the sunset
One of the important parts in this landscape is getting the sunset right. You have to decide were you will do your sun (right, left, in the middle, hidden by the mountains?). If you have trouble painting it, this video may be helpful.Don't forget! You have to do the same in the river as a reflection! Now we do the mountains. First, cover all the mountains of a thick lair of dark blue, including the reflection. Then, use a pallet knife to do the snow. For better results, paint the snow in the direction of the sun, so to look more realistic. It's tricky, for me it took more than half the time to do the mountains. That's why I have this tutorial to help you get it right. And don't forget to do it in the reflection too!

Abstract gigantic canvas

This is a painting that took me a month to finish. It was done the whole of Febuary 2021. Tips: Start with the black lines. make them as wide as neccecary. Do the colors, trying the texture to be as smooth as possible. This painting needed 2 layers of paint before I was happy with the texture. Lastly, redo the black lines so to regain contrast.

This painting took longer than I estimated, and It was harder than I imagined. But, in the end, it was also better than I imagined. Upon photographing this painting, it looked blury. It isn't like that in real life.

Do the black lines
First, it's neccesary to do the black lines that seperate the colors (see picture). You can either do them strait on your surface, or do them first with pencil, and then press upon them with the color. It's very important, cause it will change the look of your painting. You have to do all the shapes different, but they have to share some ballance somehow. You can do small shapes, big shapes, ragged, or not ragged, but I would reccomend choosing one of those for all your shapes, as it would not be nice for half to be ragged and the other half to be cyrcular.

It's impotant to chose the right colors for your painting. If you choose to paint the painting to hang in a specific room, I recommend chosing the colors from the room, as it is in the demonstration above. Then, when you have selected the colors, you can paint them in. Don't worry too mutch about the texture right now, or the lines, but just solidify the colors and their position. Afterwards, you can paint the colors over again and again until you are happy with their texture..

And, last but not least, let's re-paint the black lines! This time, I want you to pay more attention to their width than their place. They have to be equal and same.

Octopus

This is a fancy octopus painting that I like. Get a paper, do random lines, draw an octopus in the middle and color the see with cold colors and the octopus with warm ones. Tips: when finished coloring, redraw the octopus with permenant pen so to pop up even more. Paint

I think this painting is a nice idea, you can try it with other things or animals other than octopus. Again it took 2 hours, longer than I first imagined.

Do the lines
First of all, you have to draw the octopus. For better results, I recomend doing the body or head and then do the tentacles. For the tentacles, you do a swirly line till one point, and then back again, as in the picture above. Then, do two back tentecals. Then do the lines. They are just random ruler lines all over the paper, nothing more. Take a ruler (or anything strait enough to do strait lines) and just do random lines all over the paper with a pencil (or a pen, marker or anything you are doing this painting with).

Now you hane finished with the skech part, you can move on to painting in the picture. I recomend doing the sea first, as it is in the backround. Do the sea in cool colors(green, blue, blue-purple, green-yellow ect.), and then paint in the octopus in warm ones(red, orange, red-purple, yellow, pink ect.) For a better efect, be careful to paint exactly in the lines.

And, last but not least, let's re-paint the black lines! This time, I want you to pay more attention to their width than their place. They have to be equal and same.

Almond tree

This is a painting of an almond branch in the air. I paintind this because it is early spring, and where i live, that is when the almond trees bloom. It is quite easy, until you get to the part where you have to paint the almonds. If you can master this painting (better than I have) it can actually become a very beutiful thing.

I personally love this painting, and I plan to do more in the future.

Paint the background
For this you must choose two close colors and mix them with much, much white. I chose dark blue and purple, but you can also do this with green and yellow, orange and pink ect. Then you do light strokes with your brush, once with one color and once with other. Don't bother to clean your brush in between the colors. With this you want to create a smooth, calm, light backround.

Paint the tree
To paint the branch, you need a very thin paintbrush. I have done it first with a pencil and then traced it with brown, and I am quite happy with the results. You may want to turn the canvas(or paper)around, in order to reach your lines.

Paint the almonds.
You have to have in mind that the almonds are like little flowers. you can see photos to get a better idea of what they are like. I am not givving any further advice, as my almonds turned out a little smudged.

Colorful portrait

This is a painting of a quite colorful man face I did while I was having art classes. The Idea was to do a face out of everyday objects, but I just drew the face muscle parts, and colored them with vivid colors. It is easier than it seems.

Draw the face muscles
To draw the face muscles, where, in fact, to paint different colour, you must first draw an oval for the face. Then, start to draw the most basic areas. You can touch your face to feel where the diferent areas are.

Paint the colours
After you have finished sketching your painting, you can start painting it. You must have many different colours to do the job, and a clean pallet. Then you can start painting all the areas in different colours.

Now you have nearly finished your painting. You may notice that my painting has a shine, to show individual elements on the face, and make the whole thing more 3d. To do this, just take a thin paintbrush andad some white to the corner of each area. You can also add hair, or sth on the head.
